Thank you for your generosity
God’s Word calls us to obediently tithe (give 10%) of what He gives us, to do His kingdom work. Offerings given to God are gifts in addition to our tithes. Tithes and offerings are vital to the health of our Church and provide for all the areas of ministry and outreach.
Prayerfully consider:
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart what to give, not reluctantly of under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
Ask God what you should give--and then follow where he leads. What you give should be decided between you and God. Your giving should give you joy. We will never tell you what you should give.
Come along side and be part of the continuing work of New Life Community Church of the Nazarene. Prepare to be blessed. Prepare to see God at work in your life and in the life of others.
God provides for the ministry of our church through your tithes and offerings, and your gifts are honored with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and accountability to our congregation and our denomination. It’s more than keeping the lights on and the gears turning; it’s about personal worship to God and handing Him back what He already owns…and it’s about lives changing through the transformative power of the Gospel in our Amphi, Tucson, and beyond.
Giving our tithes and offerings to God is a regular part of our worship. Every Sunday, we invite the congregation to come forward and put their tithes and offerings into one of two boxes. One box is your regular tithes and offerings. The other box is to support our missions project. That project is described farther down this page.
Because it is one of the least expensive ways to give, we encourage you to use Zelle.
Contributions can be sent through Zelle to our office email address: office.nlccn@gmail.com
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this?
Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
~1 Chronicles 29:14
New Life is supporting the Arizona District missions project in Siloé, Colombia.
In what used to be one of Colombia’s most dangerous and crime-ridden barrios, Iglesia del Nazareno Siloé has been a beacon of hope by offering spiritual care, food for children and elderly people, and vocational training.
Barrio Siloé, located on the outskirts of Cali, was once regarded as one of the most dangerous places in all of Colombia. But in 2009, Steiner Prieto planted a church that has helped the community heal and transform.
In 2015, the church started offering breakfast for children in Siloé. It became such a community asset that the church also began to offer lunches and expanded its services to elderly people. Currently, the church feeds over 120 children and elderly people every day. And while the meal program has proved to be a useful community service, it has also played a significant role in the salvation of the lost in Siloé.
After the success of the meal program, the church began to look for other ways to provide a service to the community.
The church also holds classes to help people earn their high school diplomas and offers free vocational training. Two barbers in the church started vocational training to help people start their own businesses. They teach the students how to cut hair and basic business practices to help them gain income through vocational trades. The church hopes to add additional vocational training like painting.
After nearly 15 years of ministry in Barrio Siloé, Prieto is still amazed at how God has used him to reach what was once such a pain-filled place.
“This is the community that killed my brother,” Prieto said. “I never imagined that God would use my pain to take the church there.”
